On May 3, my mother Bobbie, will be 50! Yes just a month away!
I know some of you are thinking "It is about time" , others are scared because you know you too will be 50 sooner than you thought. I had my own personal crisis as i checked the 30-49 age box! and was in the same category as my mother!!!!
Back to mom...
All these years my mom has spent giving up new jeans for her daughter, shoes for her son. Sacrificing her of her time to pack and move friends into their own homes. Sharing their living space with not only children, sisters, their parents or their grandchildren, even friends and their families. Just saying a prayer with someone who is hurting.
Now they finally did something they have been dreaming about, and bought a house. While buying the house, they moved into their home with only 5 small grandchildren to help pack. This was because once again even when doing somethng for themselves, they were thinking of some one else.
We want to bless my mom. She has alot of dreams for her home. A fence. Paint. Rose White and Rose Red bushes. We can supply manpower and even child laborers, but we can't do it alone.
So, if your lives and hearts have been touched by Mike and Bobbie, If you have ever heard the "Don't rob me of my blessing" speech and been on the receiving end of their love and want to bless them back, here is what we are doing...
I am collecting Lowe's gift cards. These come in many sizes such as
"buy a bucket of paint"
"buy a fence piece"
or "just use the gift card for whatever you need"
If you want to help with the birthday celebration, I will be collecting notes and giftcards over the next 30 days to present to mom on her birthday.
